Dear Reader,

As we step into 2026, we are delighted to bring you the Winter Edition of The Crown! The pieces in these pages did not appear fully formed. They started as passing thoughts, unfinished conversations and questions about the world. Through discussion and collaboration, they became essays, reflections and critiques. They are proof that our school is made of thinkers and people who are not afraid to feel and challenge what seems certain.

We are proud of the writers who have shared parts of themselves in here. From questioning what it means to starve for likes, to diving into the biggest stories in
football, to unpacking the cost of always being tired in a culture obsessed with achievement, their work reminds us that student voices are not small. They shape
culture and give language to the things we’re all trying to make sense of.

To our contributors, thank you for your curiosity and courage and our readers, we hope that somewhere in these pages you find a sense that sits with you long after you close the paper.
