Everyone Has Someone
11th May 2026
As our Year 13 students head off on exam leave, we asked them one simple question: What will you miss most about St Margaret’s? Their answers, shared in our video, offer a powerful reminder of what lies at the heart of school life here — not just lessons or results, but connection, care, and community.
From friendships that have grown over years, to favourite teachers who have guided and encouraged them along the way, students spoke warmly about the people who have shaped their time at St Margaret’s. Alongside this, they reflected on the everyday experiences that often go unnoticed in the moment, but become the memories that stay longest — music rehearsals, school plays, sports fixtures, form time conversations, and the laughter shared in between. What emerged was a clear and consistent message: St Margaret’s is a place of belonging.
It is a place where students find their people. Where friendships form across year groups. Where teachers know their students well and support them not just academically, but personally. And where the rhythm of school life is shaped just as much by shared experiences as by timetables and routines.
One student captured this simply: everyone here has someone. Whether that is a close group of friends, a trusted teacher, or a community built through shared interests and activities, no one is ever far from support and connection. For many, this sense of belonging has grown over years. For others, it has been found more recently. But for all of them, it is something they will carry forward.
As they now take their next steps into new spaces, new environments and new challenges beyond St Margaret’s, they do so with the foundations of a community that has supported them throughout their journey.
Year 13, you leave behind a school that has been your home in so many ways — but you do not leave the community behind.
You will always have a home within ours.
