This is Me! Celebrating Our Cultural Heritage

12th April 2024

In what has quickly become an annual tradition, the ‘This is Me’ show has been a highlight of the Spring term once again, filling the School with wonderful music, traditional dances and a vibrant fashion show celebrating a world of different cultures.

The diversity of our school is a source of pride for the St Margaret’s community and for the past two years the pupils have been invited to share in the beauty of their cultural heritage and celebrate the richness of what makes us all different. Our current Head Pupil, Neeharika, has taken part each year,

“It makes me so proud and happy to see the variety of backgrounds and cultures being represented in the School”

Now in its third year, pupils took to the stage, not only to parade in their stunning traditional clothing as part of an inspiring fashion show, but to express their identity through music and dance. Charmaine in Year 9 delivered a stunning performance on the yangqin, an instrument native to her home in China, and four of our Sixth Formers gave a beautiful performance of a traditional Indian dance.
