Autumn Term Concert: A Celebration of Music and Community
23rd October 2025
As the first half term of the year drew to a close, St Margaret’s School came alive with music for our Autumn Term Concert, showcasing the extraordinary talent and dedication of our pupils across a wide range of ensembles and musical styles.
The concert opened with a smooth and soulful performance from the Jazz Band, featuring Just the Two of Us. This was followed by the Aca-Bellas, whose uplifting rendition of Joyful, Joyful from Sister Act 2 had the audience smiling from ear to ear. The String Ensemble delighted the crowd with a nostalgic take on the Super Mario Bros. Theme, and the Chamber Choir brought a moment of stillness and beauty with Stephen Paulus’ The Road Home. Our Senior Orchestra delivered a moving interpretation of Dvořák’s Largo from Symphony No. 9, before the Senior Choir raised the roof with You’ll Never Walk Alone and an energetic Tribute to Queen.
The evening continued with the Single Reed Ensemble’s lively I’m a Believer and the Aca-Fellas’ crowd-pleasing I’m Just Ken from Barbie. To finish, the Year 7 Extravaganza took to the stage with I Want It That Way, bringing a joyful close to a memorable evening.
A heartfelt thank you to all our performers, staff, and audience members for making the evening such a success.
