Senior School Sports Day 2025: Making History at Jarman Park
8th July 2025
On Friday 4 July 2025, we turned up the heat — and the House spirit — as our Senior School took Sports Day off-site for the very first time. Destination? The impressive Jarman Park Athletics Stadium in Hemel Hempstead. The result? A sun-soaked, high-energy day packed with competition, camaraderie, and school spirit like never before.
From the moment the first coach pulled in, you could feel it: this wasn’t going to be any ordinary Sports Day. The stands buzzed with excitement, House flags waved proudly, and the energy in the air was sky-high — all set beneath some sweltering summer skies.
The day kicked off with the boys taking on the track and the girls heading to the field. Hurdles, sprints, long-distance runs, shot put, high jump — every event was hotly contested, with students pushing for personal bests and House glory. And because this was our first ever stadium showdown, every winning performance set a brand-new school record.

By midday, the much-loved Fun Run and the ever-epic Tug O’ War brought everyone together in a blur of colour, cheering, and joyful chaos. The spirit of sportsmanship was evident as students of all abilities participated and cheered each other on. The track became a sea of smiles, and sheer determination — Sports Day at its finest.
In the afternoon, the boys and girls swapped events, and despite the heat, the energy didn’t dip for a second. There were some seriously nail-biting finishes and awe-inspiring performances. Medallists were awarded on the podium with plenty of proud cheers from friends, families and staff alike.
Sports Day 2025 wasn’t just a success — it was a game-changer. Jarman Park set a new bar for what this day can be, and we’re already looking forward to doing it all over again next year.
